New City is the second print continuation of Born with a 117 pages . This last and final book of my exploration with neon pulls elements from all projects while incorporating new findings and spreads while transforming the experience of all three– Born, Dying Lights, and New City.
Drawing on old Hong Kong typographic elements and aesthetics, I sought to convey the duality of transferring digital elements into print. These elements can be seem incorporated throughout the spreads. Throughout the spreads of New City, viewers will see a juxtaposed version of all three projects, along with new findings and innovations that enhance the overall experience. By combining all three, a unique and compelling visual language showcasing the enduring relationship between Hong Kong and neon emerges. Laser and risograph on gloss and acetate finish, perfect bound with 100lb paper.
